Support reporting at sea!
After ten years of covering the U.S. Navy and the rise of the People’s Liberation Army Navy, the USNI News team has learned it’s impossible to really understand the dynamics of the Western Pacific from inside the Beltway. Thanks to the support of our donors, in the 150th year of the Naval Institute, we were able to send our deputy editor Mallory Shelbourne to Singapore, Japan, Okinawa and Taiwan to learn and connect with not only the forward-deployed U.S. Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard but also officials and observers across the region for their own perspectives of how the balance in the Western Pacific is changing. USNI News continues to operate as a public service, covering the critical issues at the forefront of our Sea Services- this is made possible by your donations! If you believe in open, independent journalism, please consider supporting our critical mission “to Inform, Convene, and Inspire” our leaders of today and tomorrow.
In celebration of USNI’s 150th year, all donations over $150 will receive access to 2 exclusive special reports! South China Sea trip summary and first-hand account and the future of Navy Unmanned program.
