About Col. H. Wayne Whitten, USMC (retired)

Col. Whitten flew nearly 200 combat missions over North Vietnam before going on to a career that spanned operations, requirements, acquisition and testing of EW aircraft and systems. While on the HQMC staff, he worked closely with President- elect Reagan’s DoN transition team, and later served in the Navy Secretariat as Special Assistant for Marine Corps Programs. Col. Whitten then joined Northrop Grumman and oversaw development and production of tactical Intelligence and mission planning systems employed in the Persian Gulf, Balkan and Iraq campaigns.
