130206-N-XL102-086 NORFOLK (Feb. 6, 2013) – Rear Adm. Kevin Sweeney, Harry S. Truman Strike Group, addresses the media on the pier alongside USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75), Following a Secretary of Defense statement today announcing the delay of the strike group’s deployment, including USS Gettysburg (64). Sweeney was joined by Capt. Bob Roth, Harry S. Truman’s commanding officer. Harry S. Truman Strike group recently completed a composite unit training exercise which certified the strike group as ready to deploy.
